The Magna-Power Electronics MS series combines state-of-the-art microprocessor technology with a combination of high and medium frequency power amplifiers. This enables a quick response of the control and smaller power pack sizes. Thanks to the current control of the output stages, the power supplies are less susceptible to overloads and faults. The DC sources are available in the sizes of 30 kW, 45 kW, 60 kW and 75 kW. This makes the Magna Power MS power supplies one of the most powerful power supplies available on the market. The 30 kW sources are installed in cabinets with a height of 80 CM. The sources from 45 kW are installed in cabinets with a height of 129.5 CM. Water cooling is optionally available. The power supplies are ideally suited to simulate solar arrays. In addition, it is possible to operate the power supplies as powerful battery chargers.

All communication interfaces are optically separated from the output voltages. The reference potential of the control contacts is earth. The output voltage is set via a current-controlled H-bridge, which serves as self-protection for the output stages in the event of a rapidly occurring overload. The master slave function ensures problem-free parallel operation of the power supplies.
