What is meant by digital storage oscilloscopes (DSO)?
Digital oscilloscopes are also called digital storage oscilloscopes (DSO). The use of energy-efficient LCD technology makes digital instruments much smaller and more powerful. They no longer require a cathode ray tube and can show results more accurately and clearly on their significantly enlarged screens. Fast processors increase the performance as well as the speed of the devices, which thus also fulfill additional functions and frequencies related to voltage signals.
DSOs are thus particularly suitable for the acquisition and analysis of high-frequency signals.
