What is meant by mixed domain oscilloscopes (MDO)?

The term Mixed Domain Oscilloscope, expresses that the device can acquire as well as evaluate and display multiple domains simultaneously. Thus, these devices combine the functionality of oscilloscopes with that of spectrum analyzers.
MDOs allow users to analyze and visualize analog signals over time while simultaneously measuring and evaluating digital high-frequency signals as a function of time and frequency. This makes it much easier to identify the causes of spectral changes and, in particular, noise.

What about connectivity?

For optimal flexibility, multiple connectivity options to other devices are necessary. You will certainly need the option to connect an external memory card or connect to a separate monitor using a graphics card. In addition, USB ports, a printer port or even a GPIB interface are advantageous in daily use.
