What is meant by mixed-signal devices?
Mixed-signal oscilloscopes (MSO) can acquire and record both analog and digital signals. They thus combine classic analog 2- or 4-channel oscilloscopes with 8- or 16-channel logic analyzers. This makes it possible to establish an exact time correlation between the analog and digital signals.
In order to optimally control the digital signals and further process the results, bus systems such as CAN, RS-232 or UART are usually connected.
