The output isolating relay and output isolating/reversing relay
The N6700 modules can be ordered individually with optional output isolating relays (option 761) or output isolating/reversing relays (option 760). See the table on page 16 for the availability of options 760 and 761. Although the positive and negative rails of the output network are physically separated from the output terminals in options 760 and 761, a small AC network is still connected üacross the positive and negative output terminals.
In option 760, output isolation/polarity reversal relay, mechanical relays switch the lines on both the positive and negative sides of the power supply, including the test leads, resulting in a reversal of the voltage polarity at the prüfling. In addition to the polarity reversal, option 760 provides the same output isolation function as option 761.
