What is most important in a power distribution system?

Classic power distribution systems are often used on construction sites, for example, where they are mobile and supply various consumers. Power distribution systems are also used as standard for THW or fire brigade operations, which sometimes require several pieces of auxiliary equipment or additional lighting.
An important feature of power distribution is the possibility of immediate disconnection from the mains, which can be achieved, for example, by means of an emergency stop switch. It is also highly convenient for regular operation, switching on as well as switching off all devices with only one main switch or push-button.
Each current output of a power distribution system must be equipped with a circuit breaker,  which protects the permissible current intensity and thus protects the line from excessive heat generation. With the help of a residual current circuit breaker, the operator is also protected from possible electric shocks.

Particularly powerful power distributions

Sophisticated power distribution systes can also be controlled by remote control via special push-buttons or are easy to integrate and install thanks to plug-in connections.

LXinstruments has developed its own power distribution units because the market models did not meet all the necessary criteria. Our devices are particularly suitable for use in the test area because they are extremely flexible due to their modular configuration and can therefore be adapted to a wide variety of test set-ups. In addition, with our LX-PDU-125A-2X63A power distribution unit, we have an extraordinarily powerful device with a 125 A input and two 63 A outputs.
