The PXI System
PXI offers the optimal solution approach for validation and production testing. You can meet timing, synchronisation and throughput requirements across the board. PXI is a robust PC-based platform for measurement and automation systems supported by software. PXI combines the electrical PCI bus features with the modular Eurocard packaging of CompactPCI and then adds special synchronisation buses and important software functions. PXI is both a powerful and cost-effective platform for applications such as manufacturing test, military, aerospace, machine monitoring, automotive and industrial test. PXI was developed in 1997 and launched in 1998. It is an open industry standard managed by the PXI Systems Alliance (PXISA), a group of more than 70 companies whose mission is to promote the PXI standard, ensure interoperability and maintain the PXI specification in their mechanical, electrical and software architectures.
LXinstruments GmbH was founded in 2006 as a solution provider for all issues relating to instruments and systems in electronic measurement technology. Our systems are mainly based on the LXI standard (Lan based Extensions for Instrumentation), an open industry standard. The portfolio was gradually expanded to include the sale of electronic test & measurement instruments and components and products developed in-house.
Our sister company, bsw TestSystems & Consulting, was integrated into the company in 2009. With its specialisation in RF solutions, it primarily supports the semiconductor and telecommunications industry as well as university and research institutions.
